    My Reading Journey

In dedication to compassion and wisdom, a compilation of books that I have read throughout the years.

In the beginning, I was primarily attracted to personal growth and communication for its own sake. This has evolved since then towards spiritual growth, mindfulness, and awareness. Consequent to the practice of awareness, I have been more open-minded of politics and religion (if I am allowed to use these terms without ill-perception) in the world we live in today. Reading is certainly important but your true practice lives in your mindfulness of every moment and societal life.

Somehow in my progression of studying Buddhism, I began reading from Thich Nhat Hanh. I have learned so much from him, he is certainly the best of mindfulness. I do read slightly less about Buddhism these days after reading about Zen practices where he discusses the importance of not just reading, but practicing in our everyday lives. I always keep in mind the teachings and the sutras.
