There are many terms used to describe this, but I have recently encountered the description of the mind as a field. This concept was introduced to me in a talk by Master Tran, and by fortune, quickly came to my hands in a book called Chakra Therapy For Personal Growth and Healing.
As I continue on my practice, I would like to be able to experience of what is intended by this.
To share a small experience, I began reading this book coincidentally when I was sick with a small cold. Nothing serious medically, but enough to cause casual weak symptoms throughout my body. I noticed that when I meditate, I easily forgot those symptoms were even there. I didn’t feel that pain anymore. I think there is something to be learned from this.
